Revolution II have announced its roster decisions following the club’s debut season in USL League One, as well as announcing that they have acquired new talent for its sophomore campaign in 2021.
While the second team — Los Revitos — had two players under contract for 2021, those being Waltham’s Dennis Ramirez and Roxbury’s Meny Silva, the club exercised options on six players from the inaugural team for next season: Maciel, Jon Bell, Joe Rice, Connor Presley, Ryan Spaulding, and Tiago Mendonça.
The club declined to exercise options on Lowell resident Mayele Malango, 2020 SuperDraft selections Keegan Meyer and Simon Lekressner, and Ryo Shimazaki. Orlando Sinclair’s loan from Costa Rican side Deportivo Saprissa has expired.
In addition, 17-year-old Academy product Colby Quinones signed a USL League One deal after the Bedford, N.H. native played over 1,000 minutes at right back this season. He had committed to Providence College.
New England also signed Cambridge native Marzuq Puckerin, 18, as a goalkeeper, along with defenders Sean O’Hearn and Michael DeShields.
The Revs II roster currently stands at 12 players. Regulars Nicolas Firmino, Collin Verfurth, Damian Rivera, and Justin Rennicks are all first team players that were sent to the third division in order to get minutes.
