Revs void Samba Camara contract

The Revolution have voided the contract of defender Samba Camara after his P-1 Visa application was denied, the club announced Monday afternoon.

In its press release, the club did not say as to why Camara’s visa application was denied.

The 27-year-old had signed with the Revs on Dec. 23 and was expected to see time in the back line, challenging the first team’s other center backs.

With Camara now out of the picture, the Revolution have four center backs — Andrew Farrell, Antonio Delamea, Michael Mancienne, and rookie Henry Kessler — on the roster.

  1. I wonder if the Kessler draft changed the Revs feelings on this guy? Not that it would change the visa process, but maybe the desire/vigor of any appeals process?

    1. It’s possible, but Camara would have given some cover in the back in case Kessler wasn’t ready. *shrugs*
