THE SKINNY: It’s the second meeting between the Revs and TFC and first since the end of the MLS IS BACK Tournament group stage, and New England will look to get back onto the right side of things following the weekend.

17′ Buksa’s shot on the counter is blocked. He had Diego on the trail and should have passed it off…. Buksa then tries to find Diego, but it’s deflected to Bono.

18′ Free kick to the Revs after a hard foul on Fagundez. He bounced. Looks like he wants this.

29′ GOAL TORONTO. Akinola takes advantage of a Farrell miscue and muscles past him. He beats Turner with the outside of his foot, and it’s 1-nil to the Reds.

Tough half for the Revs, who should be down two goals. Bruce feels there should have been a foul on the goal. Revs are trying to unlock Toronto, I’ll give them that… a couple of opportunities missed.

Alejando Pozuelo and Ayo Akinola are tied with seven goals apiece to lead the Reds.

Lee Nguyen leads all Revs with five goals against TFC; he also scored a sixth in the last two years with with LAFC. Should Nguyen play tonight, it will be his 250th appearance in MLS.

Alexander Büttner has been taken off the Not Medically Cleared list. TFC’s list currently includes Michael Bradley, Jozy Altidore, and Justin Morrow.

The Revs are 10-2-5 at Gillette against Toronto. The Reds’ last trip here in August 2019 resulted in a 1-1 draw.
