THE SKINNY: Los Revitos look to make it four in a row and extend their no-goals-against streak closer to 400-plus minutes tonight, with Fort Lauderdale the opponent in their only meeting this season.

12′ Corner to the Revs…. Fort Lauderdale clears and looks like they have a counter, but Verfurth with the strong tackle to dispossess.

14′ ALMOST for Rivera…. a nice ball for Rennicks to start things.

15′ Mendonça with a nice dispo.

17′ Corner to Fort Lauderdale after some good defending by Quinones, Spaulding, and Mendonça.

21′ Nice move by Spaulding to dispo.

23′ HANDBAGS! Sosa is heated up after he goes to ground with Firmino. Yellow to Sosa.

26′ Free kick to the Revs as Quinones is fouled.

27′ Corner to the Revs as Sinclair’s shot is blocked and deflected over. Presley had a shot deflected, too…. Firmino is cautioned is he tracked back to stop Sosa on the counter and fouled him. Firmino with some wheels.

28′ Corner to Fort Lauderdale after Verfurth shoulders Sosa, he goes down in the penalty area. Shouts for a pen go on deaf ears.

30′ Free kick after Rivera is taken down by Mendes, who is shown a yellow card. Dangerous area.

33′ Hydration break after Mendonça slides over to deny after Maciel didn’t have his head on a swivel… attacker got by him.

39′ Good ideas as Rivera tries to find Firmino with a light flick, but FTL tracks it down.

41′ Free kick to the Revs in a dangerous area on a handle off Sinclair’s shot.

42′ GOAL REVOLUTION as Firmino waves Spaulding off and he scalds the free kick into the back of the net. 1-nil to Los Revitos.

45′ Sinclair is down. Four minutes minimum added on, but probably more. Sinclair pulled up. He’s done, and we’ll see Hikaru Fujiawara.

Not a bad half for the Revs, who go into the locker room with the lead. Maciel needs an improvement after he has a couple of turnovers in the first 20 minutes. Firmino playing on another level.

52′ GOAL FORT LAUDERDALE. Felipe Valencia, 15 years old, slots past Meyer to score the equalizer. 1-1. That ends the shutout streak at 43 minutes.

56′ A yellow is issued to Carrasco.

57′ Firmino’s header blazes over… corner to the Revs half a minute or so later….

58′ Shouts for a handle on Fort Lauderdale fall on deaf ears.

59′ Great track back by Quinones after the turnover… other way, almost by Rivera.

60′ GOAL REVOLUTION, and it’s Justin Rennicks in the air on Colby Quinones’ helper! Brilliant football that, Rivera starts it with a dummy pass to Firmino. Brilliant. 2-1 to the Revs.

64′ Maciel is booked for a cynical challenge.

74′ Big clearance by Mendonça.

75′ GOAL REVOLUTION, and it’s Ryan Spaulding opening his account. Fujiawara starts the counter, slides to Firmino who finds an onside Spaulding, and the left-footed left back tucks it in at the near post to beat the 17-year-old. 3-1 to the Revitos.

76′ Hydration break

77′ Back underway, and Isaac Angking has returned to the pitch. Also Malango on. Looks like Rennicks is off and Rivera is, too.

79′ Mendonça thinks quickly and concedes a corner after almost getting blown by.

80′ Meyer with the save.

85′ Corner to the visitors.

86′ Silva on for Presley.

90′ OMG almost for Malango after Angking fed him… great save by the Fort Lauderdale keeper…. four minutes minimum added on.


90+3′ Corner to the Revs…. GOAL REVOLUTION, and it’s Tiago Mendonça! He worked for that in front of goal on Malango’s pass, and it’s 4-1!

Revs II carries a 352-minute scoreless streak and a three-match winning streak into Gillette tonight, with Fort Lauderdale having lost four of its last five.

Isaac Angking has been moved up to QUESTIONABLE on the Revs injury report. Kai Thomas is listed as OUT for Fort Lauderdale.

This one is a tremendous six-pointer: both sides are tied on points and wins, but the Revs have a match in-hand on Fort Lauderdale.
