Sweens’ Halftime Thoughts and some numbers:

A really solid half for New England. Lots of pressure. Meyer is kissing his woodwork for denying Paulo Jr.

Second Half Underway

Tiago Mendonça and Conor Presley can both surge over 1,000 minutes played this season in the finale tonight: Mendonça is 83 minutes from breaking 1,000, while Presley is 58 minutes away.

Nicolas Firmino and Maciel are the only players to have started every match so far this season. Mendonça and Presley have also appeared in every match.

We’re expecting the club’s Golden Boot race to be awarded to either Firmino (4 goals) or Justin Rennicks (3) or both, depending on who scores tonight for the Baby Revs.

Surrendering that first goal is bad for Revolution II, who are 0-7-1 when the opponent opens the scoring. They are 5-0-1 when scoring first.

No opponent has won a penalty against Revolution II this season.

Madison comes into tonight’s match on a poor run of form in its last five: D-D-D-D-L, with the L coming midweek to North Texas, 1-nil, on an incredibly late pen. It has one win in its last eight.

Should on-loan goalkeeper Chris Brady start for Madison, he would be in contention for the league’s Golden Glove with a goals against average of 0.71.

Michael Vang leads Madison with four goals on the season.

Madison are 3-1-3 at Hart Park this season.
