WHO: Revolution vs. Toronto FC
WHAT: MLS IS BACK Tournament
WHEN: 9 a.m.
WHERE: ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, Orlando, Fla.
TV/RADIO: ESPN/WBZ-FM 98.5 HD2
WHAT’S UP: It’s the final game of the group stages for the Revs, who’ll need short memories after the collapse against DC United from Friday night. This morning it’s Toronto FC as the opposition, who currently lead Group C on goals scored. Get the coffee brewing!

We are underway from Orlando, Revs in the home navy blues, Toronto in the whites. Your starting lineups and benches are available, and your match notes are below. We will periodically update the live feed.

2′ Smooth sliding block by Andew Farrell to slow that cross. Revs pressed earlier, showing a lot of energy.

4′ Shot by Pozuelo is wide. Move started as TFC eased around an overplaying DeJuan Jones.

8′ Revs offside… supposedly. Diego played in Tajon, AR flags him… Deleon goes the other way and beats Bye with his speed, Farrell slides over, it’s a corner.

12′ Kelyn with the dispossession.

13′ Turner with a save on a rather easy shot by Deleon…. then Pozuelo with a weak shot. Turner handled that with a drink in his hand.

14′ Bradley dispossesses Tajon…. Diego with a dispossession now.

15′ Kessler with a dispossession on the half turn, but he loses it, Pozuelo shoooooots, into the top of the net.

18′ I have no idea how to describe what just happened out of the restart, so I won’t try.

19′ Save Turner off his line on Akinola. Center backs had to hurry back for cover.

23′ Good run by Bunbury, but his first touch was too heavy and Bono easily handles it.

25′ Toronto with 72 percent of the ball so far, and it certainly feels like it.

33′ Corner for TFC, Gonzalez puts it through the jumbotron.

38′ Cynical foul by Kelyn, and he goes into the book.

41′ Caldwell goes into the book. I don’t see Scotty hanging around today.

42′ Bunbury looks to shoot, blocked… Buchanan with a cross, intercepted. Gee whiz.

45′ Buchanan’s cross, stopped. Three minutes minimum added on.

45+3′ DeJuan with the dispossession… he makes a nice move and is fouled by Piatti. Final kick of the half coming up. Fagundez’s shot is blocked.

HALF

Has not been a great first half by the Revs. 32 percent of the ball, two shots, both blocked. Ho hum.

Second half underway

46′ Shaffelburg on for Toronto, replaces Deleon. Meanwhile, Wilfried Zahibo on for Caldwell…. little better for the Revs there as Jones tries to find Buksa on a cross, deflected over for a corner… Bono claims it.

49′ Much better by the Revs as Buksa holds up play enough to break free… Bono with the save on Fagundez.

50′ Bradley goes into the book for a clumsy challenge on Buksa.

51′ Almost for Tajon, but hes cuffs it. What is this? Where was this in the first 45? Great cross by Brandon, header into space by Bunbury to Tajon. DF14 with the change, too.

52′ Dispossession by Diego, counter by Diego, one time lob by Kelyn… Bono gets it.

54′ ALMOST for Diego as he has a neat run, his shot is deflected… it beats Bono, but just wide of the post.

55′ ALMOST by Brandon. Holy moly. That off the ball run on the corner, into tons of space, unmarked… just wide.

56′ That corner was wasted.

57′ Akinola, alone, has a go…. TFC with a neat counter.

60′ Bou in for Rowe, that will probably move Fagundez back. Penilla in for Bunbury, too.

61′ Piatti fouled by Fagundez. Free kick to TFC.

62′ Save by Turner. Two steps to the left…. Penilla with a go on the run, wide.

67′ Another foul, this time by Zahibo. Okello coming on for Piatti. It’s his MLB debut.

68′ Free kick fails.

72′ Corner to the Revs.

73′ Another one.

74′ ALMOST. Bye with a great run, tracks it down, crosses to Buksa, but his one-timer is right at Bono.

77′ Buksa off, Rennicks coming in. More time to influence the game.

78′ Okello with an easy shot for Turner to stop.

79′ Rennicks with a weak shot. Goes wide…. Akinola gets by Kessler, he shoots, Turner with the stop!

80′ Rennicks released, takes a hard touch, gets beaten off the ball… Bou goes down under a Bradley challenge in the box, Marrufo waves it off.

81′ Richie Williams is carded for strong arguments against the call.

82′ Ciman on for Auro.

84′ Two shots by Buchanan, blocked.

86′ Altidore coming on for Mavinga.

87′ PENALTY TO TORONTO. Akinola is brought down by Jones, it looks outside the box…. looks like they are going to VAR.

88′ Penalty waved off, free kick. No card.

89′ Free kick deflected for a corner…. Altidore’s shot blocked. Potentially a handle by Penilla.

90′ Free kick after Buchanan is fouled…. five minutes minimum added on.

90+2′ Penilla with a nice run, he shoots, Bono stops in, but the ricochet goes to Rennicks. He can’t get it on.

90+3′ Altidore, back to goal and Kessler, spins and fires high and wide.

90+4′ Akinola shoots wide, but he was offside by ten miles.

90+5 — FULL TIME

For the Revs:

Turner; Jones, Kessler, Farrell, Bye; S. Caldwell, Rowe; Buchanan, Fagundez, Bunbury; Buksa
Bench: J. Caldwell, Knighton, Angking, Bou, Büttner, Delamea, Mancienne, Penilla, Rennicks, Rivera, Sinovic, Zahibo

So no Carles Gil, as expected. Andrew Farrell returns, DeJuan Jones slides into left back. Tajon Buchanan gets the start — his first of the year. Six changes in the XI.

For Toronto:

Bono, Deleon, Mavinga, Gonzalez, Auro Jr; Bradley, Delgado, Pozuelo, Laryea, Piatti, Akinola
Bench: Westberg, Ciman, Zavaleta, Okello, Endoh, Dorsey, Shaffelburg, Fraser, Gallardo, Nelson, Mullins, Altidore

A tie should be enough to get the Revolution out of the group, even with DC United still to play Montreal later tonight. Yup, that’s right, there is no concurrent game in the group stages, much like in the World Cup. Should DC United win and the Revs and Reds tie, it would more than likely push the Revs to third early Wednesday morning, and then a number of things have to happen for New England not to advance.

Carles Gil is listed as questionable following the re-aggravation of his injury Friday night. He went about an hour against DC.

With no Gil, expect Diego Fagundez to fill the No. 10 role. Should the Leominster resident make the appearance this morning, it would tie him with Wellesley’s Chris Tierney for third all-time in the Revs’ record books.

Should Andrew Farrell start, he, too, would tie Tierney for fourth in starts.

Should Scott Caldwell make an appearance, he would pass Steve Ralston to claim eighth place.

Cristian Penilla is 59 minutes away from surpassing 5,000 minutes played in the league.

The Revs do not have a win over Toronto in their last three meetings, with the last win coming in May 2018, a 3-2 win at Gillette.

Gustavo Bou has 16 chances created this season, by far the most of any player in MLS. Gil has 15, good enough for a tie for second — after only two matches played.

No one is on yellow card watch.

Ayo Akinola is the TFC leader with five goals, all during this tournament. He has stepped up massively in place of Jozy Altidore.

Teal Bunbury and Fagundez both have four goals apiece against Toronto, with Kelyn Rowe and Penilla at three apiece.

Jonathan Osorio is listed as questionable on the TFC injury report with a quad strain, although Toronto Star reporter Steve Buffery reported that he trained the other day.

Justin Morrow is out with Achilles tendinitis. Ouch.
